Re: Your fleet running reports
Good point - had forgotten they're not local to Matty - best ask them to suck it up in that case!

Re: Your fleet running reports
I’m just confused which bit was actually broken. The pump or the clutch ? Both ??
Re: Your fleet running reports
Exactly what I'm thinking, are they both broke ? If not re-use the bit you've got.Sundayjumper wrote: Thu Dec 06, 2018 8:48 pm I’m just confused which bit was actually broken. The pump or the clutch ? Both ??
Re: Your fleet running reports
To make matters worse, the AC in the Evora is absolute tits even when it is working.
Sounds like a complete nightmare Matty, hope it gets resolved soon.

No idea why one part couldn't be reused.
Either way, it's all been sorted. Seller settled the bill for me

Discovered that I had 3 bulbs out on the car (but it only informed me about one of them). All changed. Also changed the plugs a couple of days ago and it's running much smoother now. Old plugs were shagged.

Found out that the oil leak on the 6 series was due to the oil pressure sensor - also explains the erroneous low oil pressure messages. £10 part so that’s a win.
In other good news a friendly kestrel has moved into the side of the garage where I store my cars and it’s done a good job of controlling the mouse population for the last 2 weeks - it’s rather cute so I hope it stays.

How about not having a sig at all?

I hope Mik doesn’t have too many days off this festive season otherwise we may be subjected to something like this

How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Your fleet running reports
I wouldn't pay in that scenario. If the specialist was one near to me that I intended to use in the future, maybe. But you'll be collecting the car and then driving it miles away from them.
Re: Your fleet running reports
Ah realised it's moved on more.
This is the correct outcome. Nice one.Matty wrote: Fri Dec 07, 2018 5:15 am No idea why one part couldn't be reused.

I find it weird they say "reported" - I know they must mean internally for a fine to be processed or whatever (or maybe to the CPS for prosecution if bad enough) but it just sounds like it should be followed by "to the Headmaster for being a naughty boy"

Re: Your fleet running reports
Thankfully that wasn't me
5.5 hours and 300 miles later, Evora is finally on the driveway. Unlike the Elise, I got back feeling pretty fresh - it's actually a very refined car at speed, helps that I've got the long box, so 75mph is only 2k RPM.
Quick feelings on it - the steering/ride/suspension is incredible. It just glides along the A-roads, seriously, seriously impressed by this. There's more than enough power to make decent progress for 95% of road situations, but IMO the box is toooo long. Obvious benefits mentioned above, but otherwise they're just too far apart. The 2bular exhaust sounds fantastic - doesn't drone, yet makes a glorious noise at higher RPM's and pop's and crackles when needed. It's a lovely thing. Seats are great, car itself looks awesome, and gets lots and lots of attention (that's either good or bad, depending on your vanity).
The transmission still lets it down though. It can't be rushed, I keep fluffing gears - it's something I'll get used to. I also forgot how damn noisy it is - I know it's from a diesel car and it's meant to have a DMF, hence the noise, but it sounds fucking awful. Other (very) minor points. Stereo is shit, and I keep forgetting how big the damn doors are, tight spaces are a bit no-no.
Looking forward to getting some proper, not-tired, non-motorway miles behind it.
