For Sells
For Sells
It seems my Tudor Black Bay, being the first version with ETA movement and black bezel, is a bit of a rarity and prices are going up. And I don't actually wear it much at all; the lack of a date wheel means it's not a useful every day watch for me. With a wedding to pay for next month, I'm planning to sell it.
Not that I expect much interest from here, but it could be a decent investment for the future. Bought new by me, on the bracelet (the preferred original non-riveted version) and with box, papers and the extra NATO strap which originally came with it and has only been fitted once. Anyone interested at ~£2300?

How much has it gone up since you bought it, if you were to sell it at that?
I know someone who might be interested though I think he's more into Rolex and Omega (iirc he did own a Tudor at some point)

How much extra without the extra NATO strap?
Re: For Sells
presumably the watch dealer selling them wrote that article!

There was apparently one of this model (this movement/bexel specifically) sold on eBay a couple of months ago for £3,500. That seems a bit mad to me; but currently there are none available in this country and the sales elsewhere on eBay have been in the £2150-2500 ballpark.
RRP when I bought was £2350 I think; I paid just under £2200 from memory. It'll come with the receipt so the buyer can see how much of a profiteer I really am
Oh, some more links:

Re: For Sells
That's not the only reason I wouldn't sell on eBay. Easiest is to sell to a dealer; it seems Watchfinder sell them as soon as they come into stock.
Re: For Sells
its worth waiting for ebay to have a £1 total fee sale otherwise you get hammered, I just sold all my Canon L Lenses and saved nearly £500 in fees

Re: For Sells
That takes away the fee issue but does nothing to protect you from scamming buyers. No way I'd sell anything on eBay unless I'd be willing to write off the sale price.

Re: For Sells
Well I asked but turns out my friend had one of these previously.

Does this happen a lot? I've sold watches in the ££££ and never had any problems, although I've only sold to UK bidders with 50+ feedback.

The fact that it can happen is enough for me not to rely on luck.
