Well I watched the second half of the US race and that was the first time I’ve seen a race at all this year :(

Good stuff and well done Kimi. I was probably not the only one shouting at the screen for them to pit Hamilton earlier. I hope he returns the favours to Bottas once he’s got the Championship sewn up.

A bit anticlimactic end to the season, but a well deserved fifth title for Hamilton, he has been the best all year.

True, but with the WDC decided it becomes a bit less exciting to watch.

As if LH wasn’t going to score any points and SV win everything for the last 3 races! The WDC has been over for a while now, doesn’t stop there being good racing.

Yes that was a bit of an anticlimax. Added to by the fact that I cancelled my Sky Sports subscription earlier in the year so started watching the highlights at 11pm and was pretty much asleep by the end of it!

I missed it from lap 30 due to a power cut and had the tv back on during the cool down lap. Did listen to Radio 5 though - nice to see “Jolson Palmer - who left Renault in 2017” (yes we were reminded of this every 5 minutes) giving his insight and criticism of the other drivers from his perspective as a super successful former F1 driver

Mercedes just need 31 points to win the Constructors, assuming Ferrari score 1-2 at both remaining races.

It was very much a case of pushing through the pain barrier at 1am. Vettel didn't even storm off in a huff or some other histrionics that would have made it worthwhile

And still there are people lining up on the internet to declare Hamilton to be “not that good”, “a prick” and “black” despite his 5 titles.

Maybe they thought he would become white after a certain level of success like Michael Jackson?

He does seem to have acquired more hair to go with his fame and success, as I recall Jacko did too towards the end. Still, lets hope the last two races are 'thrillers', and that one of them can be a gifted victory to his modest and likeable team mate.
