Cancelled police order apparently, and I quote

"They are an unusual cancelled Police order spec with delivery miles, registered end of July 26:

- Core Trim (so no heated screen or seat extenders, which is like my own car) which hasn't been offered to the general public to order since 2022.

Non Core upgrades:
- Black leather interior
- "Heavy duty" chassis, 2.0 liltre B6 petrol with 300hp and 4WD.
- Police spec wheels (plain silver alloys for maximum brake cooling I assume).
- Front fogs (not normally on Core trim).
- Electric drivers seat (but not passenger)
- Heavy tint on rear windows so you can't see who has been nicked."

Quite a decent spec for a police order. Usually you’d expect some hard-wearing cloth and missing stuff like climate control or centre screen

They typically come with extra batteries (for all the comms stuff) and a safe in the boot (for firearms or evidence - chain of possession etc)

In my Volvo dealer days (2002-5) we used to prep and service City of London police cars. The 05/06 model year unmarked V70s had base spec (called Torslander, which no-one ever bought) velour door cards and Sovereign Hide (which was a premium option Bridge of Weir leather that no-one ever bought) seats.
I thought the first one was an incorrect build, but then a load more turned up.
Presumably the better quality leather had been tested to last longer than the standard stuff, and was easier to wipe down than the cloth, but there must had been a saving to have the entry level door cards.

Subtle, for 300bhp. Is the 'heavy duty' chassis just that it has that engine/transmission combo or do we think it's something like stronger suspension as well?
Was that engine ever available to the public on the base model?

300bhp presumably means it's the turbo and supercharged engine without hybrid, or maybe just the 48v mild hybrid. There are T6 PHEVs with 345bhp. I'm not sure when they stopped offering the 300bhp version in the UK, if they ever did.
