Hello... again.
Hello... again.
After a few days of faffing around an finding nowhere suitable for a new home following the EVO forum closure, I happily found my way here. When first using the EVO forum years ago I made the mistake of not really introducing myself. So here goes:
Name : Paul (You guessed that)
Age : 64 (So I was a petrol head before most of you had heads)
Car : 981 Cayman GTS (The latest in a run of sports cars that started with a £90 Sunbeam Alpine when I was a 19 year old)
Occupation : Retired (10 years ago as it happens, so as well as being the forum old git I may qualify as forum lucky bastard as well!)
Just one more thing. Has anyone considered starting up a magazine dedicated to enthusiasts and fun cars? We could gather some talented writers and produce a product to inspire enthusiasts everywhere and fit in with the general cultural mores of the forum and it's members... Just a thought if you're reading Harry.

Fucking hell! Someone older than me!!!!
If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.
Re: Hello... again.
Glad to make some of you feel younger. Regarding the pics I'd love oblige to but haven't a clue how to. (It's an age thing probably ). On the old EVO forum I at least had a little avatar pic of my current car up, but when I tried to put up a cut down version of that image here it seemed to be about 10 times the allowed no of pixels. If you want to see it in the flesh I'll be at Donington Historic on the PCGB infield parking area on the 5 and 6th May.

Hi Paul, I'm pretty sure everyone knew about your Cayman anyway (black innit?). Didn't you have some sort of Fiat as well?
TBH I knew much better who you are than some of the noobs who decided to change their name when we changed forum. One can only presume they enjoy making life difficult.

Welcome to the continuation.

Hello again, nice that you found this forum.
Thanks again, Matty

Re: Hello... again.
The black one was my last car - a Cayman R, I've had a white GTS for over 3 years now. I'd like to be more adventurous with colour choice but Porsche charge an extra £3k for imaginative colours.duncs500 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 20, 2018 5:52 pm Hi Paul, I'm pretty sure everyone knew about your Cayman anyway (black innit?).
