Why bother, it'll still be a flatly shit design underneath, no matter how many times you use it to ramraid a Demon Tweeks warehouse.

A lot of the marketing guff compares the chassis strength and various components on Luce to the Purosangue. Ferrari only have one 2+2/4 seater type family car on sale at a time. And with Euro 6 it makes no sense to waste your precious v12 on a SUV.
I think this. The Luce is (possibly) longer than the Purosangue, a massive 4-door, 4 seater car, in fact the design somehow makes it look a lot smaller than it really is, the rear wheels are a vast 24 inch diameter. It’s a 4-door saloon.

As a design experiment I think it’s fantastic, it sounds incredibly well thought through from a design/engineering perspective and it looks like a concept car, I really can’t hate it. It will turn heads.

The AI modified photos make me chuckle because all they have done is make it look like a previous Ferrari, which is obviously a backwards step.

Anyway, I love it when someone releases something controversial so bravo la Luce

Taking steps forward and looking different is fine, but the risk is always that you’re making “New Coke”…

Seeing videos of the central display, I’d love one as a standalone monitor for connecting to my laptop as a second screen complete with a pivoting mount. Have the clock always there, assign shortcuts to the toggle switches. Great for productivity. Would probably make more money than the car

The whole thing is like a comedy sketch, I thought the pics floating around of the pope being shown around the Luce were AI but they’re real
Don’t think even the popes blessings can save this.

Also those wheels look like they belong on a bus

That's confused me even more. I think I thought the car was smaller than it was which didn't make any sense when they mentioned 23/24" wheels. Not it looks way larger than I was beginning to think.

And I now can't seem to unsee that it looks like Ferrari have just taken a generic EV-shape and stuck it inside some sort of exterior frame.
Cheers,

Mike.

Is there an image of it beside another vehicle? Any other vehicle? I suspect it’s gonna look like a Cybertruck….

I think it's likely an exercise in introducing new buyers to the brand. I'm sure I read somewhere that 90% of RR Spectre owners were new customers that never previously would consider a RR.

They probably know that short term it's a loss making exercise, but long term in getting more people into the brand (especially a younger audience that might not care for the history or ICE engines) it does make sense.

Just wish it looked a bit more exciting.

Yes, this is the Ferrari for under 30's apparently. Anyway that's not a phrase I want to repeat too often as it just makes me wonder how badly I screwed up to not be in the market for a £500k car and I'm a fair bit over 30 now
