Army EOD truck & a van, and four Police cars. On my road, about 200m along from here
I saw the truck go past and wandered up to be nosey. We regularly hear gunfire around here but this is unusual. The Police lady I spoke to wouldn't say what they’d found. Spoilsport.

They always have a blue car there as it was the Bluebird garage originally - yes, the famous Campbell’s Bluebirds. Think it was a Caterham previously?Mito Man wrote: Tue Jun 10, 2025 3:10 pm Yes, new Morgan three wheeler. I was on the bus so that photo was sponsored by Beany![]()

I don’t recall ever seeing a car there
Maybe there was something in the clothing section but I haven’t been in there in years.

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
I've been in there once and don't remember a car either but I was slightly distracted by the welcoming front of house staff

In the 1980/90s these seemed to turn up on a semi regular basis at the Royal Mail depot in Sheffield. I once watched (from a large distance) as the robot thing shot out the windows of a suspicious car parked outside the aforementioned depot.Sundayjumper wrote: Tue Jun 10, 2025 3:21 pm Army EOD truck & a van, and four Police cars. I’ve remembered another one from yesterday. Remember that Living Life on Finance cocksocket? He was in a clapped out M3, stopped at a red traffic light in Knightsbridge for over 2 minutes just revving the nuts off it

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
IS that the guy who financed his M3, modified it and then cried when the finance company had an issue with this ?

Saw Princess Catherine driving one of the young Princes back from school yesterday.. she has a black Audi SUV (with Disco 5 following). Still seems incongruous that she drives herself tbh

My boy used to play football with prince Louis, the nanny used to bring him to training with some secret service discretely out of the way in another car.
This was soundly beaten when Gareth Bale started turning up with his little boy.
unfortunately my boy inherited his dad’s footballing prowess and he gave up after a year or so.

Peugeot 106 with Cosworth running gear and a Group B style enormous rear wing.
Then a minute later, a shortened wheelbase 3 door Rocer Metro in yellow, blue, red, green etc. looked like a lot of fun to potter about in.
Dave!

Not an M3, it’s a 328i with an e46 M3 engine
Anyone sat revving an engine continuously in a stationary car is a bellend. Occasional brief blips for an appreciative audience are ok though…

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
A week on, the Police are still on site, they’ve had it cordoned off 24/7 the whole time. Tonight there are *five* Sprinter-sized vans and a dozen Police milling around. And two more tents on the driveway. It’s not just “a mortar and some chemicals” in there.Sundayjumper wrote: Thu Jun 12, 2025 9:07 amA decommissioned mortar & "flammable and potentially hazardous chemicals"Sundayjumper wrote: Tue Jun 10, 2025 3:21 pmThe Police lady I spoke to wouldn't say what they’d found. But if it was something properly dangerous I’d expect them to evacuate people and remove the item(s) ASAP. This is more like an intense forensic job ? I can’t imagine what it could be.
