Computer running out of space

Photoshop wouldn't open because of scratch disk being nearly full, which is infuriating because:

a) I've only had this computer for 8 months and figured 500GB hard drive would be fine because...
b) All of my documents, music, photos etc are stored in the cloud and...
c) All of my video work is stored solely on external HDDs and in Dropbox.

However, after a bit of minor sleuthing, I tracked down a 13 hour screen recording in my system library folder which was around 150GB

Scratch disk is no longer nearly full

Only question I have is how on earth it ended up there. I do QuickTime screen recordings a lot, and they save to desktop, so the only thing I can imagine is that the computer ran out of battery and it aborted the recording which meant it ended up in there for some reason.

Make sure you haven’t asked it to sync your cloud docs to the hard drive from Adobe. This is a very bad idea that will instantly fill your disc and is irreversible. To the point if you try and delete the catalog on your machine it deletes all your cloud photos. Ask me how I know this…

Thanks for the tip I've completely avoided Adobe's cloud storage services to this point, because I've been with Backblaze, iCoud and Dropbox for so long that I never looked at what Adobe had. I assumed they're better at making image/video software than cloud services and it seems that might have been a safe assumption

Doesn't Adobe do some dodgy shit and harvest all your cloud data for AI?

I use iCloud storage and only recently found out it's cross compatible with Windows so it's pretty perfect.
