Oooh, interesting, what sort of spec are you thinking? I don't know if Noble turbots would fit (they probably would in an ali XJ...) but the Volvo V8 might - I'm sure I've seen one in a C30 somewhere. You'd have the same the problem again with Noble turbots, but at least a couple more cylinders and c.c..
I've oft pondered an Allroad type estate using Freelander suspension, surprised one of the yt channels hasn't done it yet (car throttle did it badly :roll: ).
I think the gearbox isn't good for more than 250hp which was the limitation at the time, so you would need to start there and work out. I think the AJ-30 V6 is meant to be a good unit so I would go for forced induction around that.
