They do look good in bright silver, but the colour of Matty's =

Yeah, agreed, gun metal / anthracite type shades like this (as long as not too dark) are still good on certain colours.

I might get my AWIs done a bit darker one day as an alternative option.

How high up is the air-intake/snorkel? :P
 Oddly they're actually at the top, at the back of the engine. Seems like an odd place, you'd think it'd pull in a lot of heat.

Nice one Matty, you having one of these was surely an inevitability from when they released it? Red is obviously the best colour and yours sports teledial correctness as well 8-)
Moreso for something like the Voloce as a daily - didn't think I'd go down the QV route as didn't see the point as second car, and too expensive/pointless as a daily considering the commuting I do. However, I'm getting old, priorities change and I frequently need rear seats now so figured at least with the QV I'd be able to do Taxi duties *and* enjoy it at the same time.
Shlergen wrote: Mon Jul 22, 2024 9:30 am Massive want, even the lower 2.0t veloce (280bhp) appeals. I believe a lot of the kit minus the engine is shared.
Pretty much. They've bolted on quite few fancy bits on the QV, like carbon prop shafts, active front splitter. You can get stuff like the active dampers on the Veloce if you spec them high enough, I think?

I'd also like to moan about the "Active Splitter" - it's a strangely pointless feature that costs a fortune to fix. It drops down when going over 65mph (but only when in dynamic or race mode) to give extra downforce....but on the motorway (the only time you're going to be consistently over 65mph) you're not likely be in either of those modes, as they hold onto high revs.

So it's rarely going to ever activate. To make it worse, the carbon splitter itself is £2k+ fitting. The actuators (there are two, and they're paired together) costs £1500 + fitting. Giving the splitter a good whack (speed bump, or curb) can be a verrrry expensive mistake.

Great Scott!

I just think the design looks a bit cheap in silver.
Agreed

They look like someone sent them to the refurbisher without instructions as to the right colour to paint them

I hope to see you sitting in the perpetual jam on the M6 soon, Matt 8-)

Yep - Anthracite / Grey is the correct colour there.

Guy on my street has one in dark blue with the same dark grey wheels. It looks the absolute nuts and I'm incredibly envious.

Top buying Sir! 8-)

I like the wheels in silver, but not enough that if I had grey ones I’d change them.

Just have to make sure you keep the tyres clean so they don’t blend in with the wheels.

I think the spokes would have to be a little thicker to make them look a bit more like the older teledials to look great in silver.
