I went to the hot wheels monster truck thing in glasgow on my own as no one wanted to come with me

Good fun though, forgot how much I missed being deafened by nitro meth V8s.

Goodwood members meeting this weekend. I’m going on Saturday if anyone else is. Also, Salon Privé at Royal Hospital Chelsea on Friday 21st April and Bicester Scramble on 23rd.. hopefully see some of you ku… err, lovely people at one or all of them! 😉

Yes, my gf is well impressed I’ve filled the diary. 😂 There’s a Lords of the Manor Ferrari run in the Cotswolds on the 21st-23rd also, so should be some interesting metal about! 👍
Cheers,

Ian

Bit late to announce here perhaps but I'll be at LeMans this weekend, watching bikes racing and stuff. I think camping tickets are sold out but you could get entry tickets still.

I'm going over Fri am, back Tues just to make it worth the run down.

Few pics from Bicester Scramble today. It was supposed to chuck it down but it didn’t, which was nice.

Yeah it was a suprisingly good day, weather wise - and some great cars. Managed to miss some of them - like the Pagani, above. Disappointed not to have the 4C for this....didn't see another one on the day!

Saw the mad crowd around the GMA T.50, and was basicically barged out the way by mental photographers who were chasing it down the road to grab pictures.

Also got a chance to see a few Emira's - lovely. Big want.

I somehow missed the Emiras, didn’t see a single one..

Saw Jonny Smith. No Harry M which surprised me as he lives fairly close by. I was walking past the F50 as it was pulling away so got to hear that 😎 There was a really good mix.

Looks good but a bit far from me.

There is also a Porsche gathering at Goodwood which I'm tempted to go to. https://www.flat6.co.uk/

I was there only a the weekend before last however, plus this is a Saturday so I'll have to be arsed to wash the car on Friday plus I've a booze up and curry with the dads at my sons school the night before which is not a happy combination with a crack of dawn start the next day...

I’ve been given a ticket to RIAT but accommodation is a fortune and it’s too far to go and come back in a day.

For anyone midlands based, there is a coffee & chrome next month, it's free but the places do seem to get snapped up quickly.

Race The Waves in Bridlington this weekend, never been before but appears to be random old stuff and hot rods drag racing down the beach.

I'd say I'll update with pictures but there's no chance I can ever do that!

Went to Elite (🙄) event at Booker Airfield today, was a bit miss-sold as it was mostly aircraft and golf equipment, with very little automotive interest and no supercar driving (which was why I went).

Nice to look around some aircraft but it was a static display and so not really that interesting. Shame.

Beautiful Roma blue with tan leather distracted me for quite a bit, until it turned out to be something similar to Autovivendi nonsense 🤷‍♂️

I'm always amazed by how fresh the S1 Elise looks. They never improved on the styling (Apart from S1 Exige obvz).

I absolutely loved the S1 when they were released (still do) but the S2 bettered it IMO.

Exige better in S1 form though. That’s a universally accepted fact.

Went to Savile Row Concours today, some interesting cars, two Lotii and the Callum Skye were the only modern ones.. someone drove a DB6 (with plate 9OND) out as I got there, very cool car but just shows how beautiful the DB5 is to me..

Bought some shoes, shocked by Church’s prices these days, and now out for dinner at Jeru after too much free champagne
Cheers,
