It's very similar indeed to Amsterdam, where you often also have a tram line down the middle. It just takes a moment's thought to realise cars and trucks are not special and have no priority over others. Maybe a larger number of cyclists means drivers don't get complacent.

Yep. Very similar to many European cities. Which is not surprising given that much of our modern "active travel" infrastructure guidance is derived from practices that have been long established in those countries.

First one of those, the taxi is legally stopped but with reversing lights on, and then opens his door into the cyclist's path. So the cyclist has reason to feel aggrieved. But nobody hurt anyone and the 'Dutch reach' nonsense is fucking idiotic; cyclists are told to cycle further from stopped traffic to avoid being doored.

Not the massive wide angle lens making it appear like a swerve as the LR comes from the side to the centre of the lens?

Not that it wasn't a damn close pass but I think the lens exageratted it.

All it would have taken in that second video was the cyclist to do what you’re supposed to do and check behind before moving out. He’d have seen the landy and probably thought “fuck that” and hung back before moving right. Instead he did the wanky cyclist with a camera thing of “I have right of way u don’t need to look back” and almost paid the price

He will bravely park next to deep puddles, ambers flashing, a beacon of hope in world ending weather!
We should be amazed at his wading, his recovery skills, he is a professional first responder where rules do not apply to him.
He is fully erect at the sign of bad weather and will be the saviour of us all!!!

That Land Rover would have been a bit close to the parked cars if there wasn't a cyclist in the gap - look at where his left hand tyres are relative to the centre line as he is alongside the Qashqai.

First one is an overreaction and second, the LR really didn’t need to make such a manoeuvre and must have seen the cyclist beforehand , but the cyclist needs to remember that they’re not invincible so a look back when pulling into another lane would be beneficial.

The red LR was completely in the wrong there, I use that road regularly and it's always blocked by parked cars/causes these issues. The LR has not long come out of the 20mph zone either.

The LR knew damn well the cyclist would block a clean pass for a hundred metres or so, so he's rushed it, and we see the result.

It's the other way around, that a wide-angle lens exaggerates the sense of space, therefore if it looks like a close pass on wide angle, then it's a gnats chuff in real life
