Fair play to the seller, I got a very quick reply:
One says front light is not working but it is. The other one is linked to air suspension sensor but again nothing is wrong. All been checked out and diagnosed by Graham reader garage and it’s just went through it’s mot without advisories
The light fault is probably one of the headlight ballasts. They get waterlogged & go squiffy. It has the PDCC active anti roll bars so the other issue is probably with those. Mine has a problem with that too  and I’m fairly sure it’s down to one of the pressure sensors. Maybe the same, maybe not.

Or just do the job properly and get a Turbo.

Coincidentally from the same place I got my Q7. It’s a low-rent operation but the guy was very straight to deal with and I got a full refund when it proved uneconomical for him to replace the cracked rear brake discs (carbon brakes = crazy ££££££)

The seats in the GTS look disgusting. Can't imagine that says much about the level of general fastidiousness and maintenance.

Part numbers on the ballasts need to match, I fitted a new ballast to one side of my cayenne turbo and had the same fault, lots of researching all pointed at the same problem that you need matching part numbers and to replace ballasts in pairs.

I really like that. Shame I haven’t got the stomach for a Turbo’d Porsche with 150k miles.

So did somebody else - I tried to arrange a viewing yesterday but it’s already sold.

I was thinking of you when I wrote it ! Have you still got your turbo, how’s it going ?

It blew up on me/I killed it a couple of years ago now. I liked it at the time but retrospectively it wasn’t the best car. Was cheap but had lots of problems and was ~£700 a month in maintenance.

Now in a 2018 E63.

Another kinda want. V10 Phaeton. LWB with the split rear seats is very cool but engine out for turbo replacement is a mission and the KESSY (keyless entry & start) problem points to water damage. I know mine’s been replaced already. Not insurmountable but likely a pain to track down.

I have had this 992 open in a tab since I test drove one. I liked it at first but I'm starting to love it: https://finder.porsche.com/gb/en-GB/det ... ned-EQMXPE

Test driving an Alpine A110 on Thursday though.

Looks great. Seats are fabulous.

Please stop discussing Alpines in the same breath as such a vehicle.

What about MX5s? I would also chuck an Emira V6 in there. I don't think a 911 is top of the list, despite the fact I like them. I'm not going to rush into a purchase because I enjoy the process of choosing.

I'd totally have that but the 21" faux Fuchs are gopping. Shitty design trying to be relevant when they never can be without being numerous inches smaller.

Yeah, the wheels are nasty. I like the interior though.

I like the wheels - they are so loosely copies of Fuchs that I don’t feel they are trying too hard to emulate them.

I'm not sure I like any of the wheel options. The Fuchs style in all silver look better to me though.

I like them too. The only designs I don't like on the 992 are the standard 20"s on the T, I think. Although I prefer these ones which I'd probably spec if I were doing mine from scratch - not sure they go so well with the heritage interior though:
