Teh Spotted Thread
Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé on Sunday.
Unsurprisingly mahooosive - I guess the driver had it on "TaxTheRich" settings because there must have been a good 5 or 6" gap in the wheel arches. Comfort mode really isn't necessary when driving around Milton Keynes.

That's awful. Looks like it was built by someone with very limited metalworking skills. "Just make it flat and square. It'll be fine".

Black hides the panel chasms anyway.

M3 Competition Estate - not seen one in the wild before. Looked very purposeful but mahooosive
Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Yeah it’s not the best looking from the front is it…
It was in a lovely dark blue matt paint. Probably explains why it’s filthy and spattered in bird shit

Make up your mind!
Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Hideous.
I did see a lovely '70s Alfa Spyder further down the road on Sunday, so at least one person has decent taste in the area.

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
I used to frequently see a morbidly obese chap who would wedge himself into an Alfa Spider from the 90's, it was a comedic sight and the poor Alfa was always leaning to the right, probably sitting on it's bumpstops.
Also another observation which I may have mentioned before, it seems like every new Defender in the area has had its spare wheel stolen.

How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Small car meet thingy this morning.
Thoughts:
1. Parks Group (Lotus, McLaren, Maserati) had brought along a manuel V6 Emira, an i4 Emira, and an Eletre. It should surprise nobody that the engine note of the i4 wasn’t much to get excited about. Eletre is plush inside but it’s huge. I’m not an expert on active aero, but the mechanism on the rear spoiler looked really ugly.
2. Also a surprise to nobody (except my eldest) is how massive a 992 looks beside a 964.
3. DBS was visually stunning. Again it looked too big overall, but stance and width were really purposeful.
4. Paintwork on the Dino was badly marred. I didn’t speak to the owner, but I believe it’s a (nicely done) rep. Edit: confirmed - based on an MG TF, so a thumping 1.8 power plant.

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Apparently the Eletre rear wing provides 112kg of downforce although it didn’t say at what speed.
Now what I want to know is that on a car which is near enough 3 tonnes once occupants are in it how much additional difference will the 112kg downforce make
Maybe they should start fitting aircraft aerofoils on EVs so they shed a few hundred kg at motorway speeds?

I'm on the no side. I think they've taken it too far.
