OV9 Political Party

Post by IanF »

Some may argue that we are too qualified, but if we were to become our own political party and stand in the General Election; what should our manifesto be?
Cheers,

Ian

Environmental - Don’t lose it, re-use it. Every child gets a tree to plant.

Financial - Yes, but what will it cost in the long run ?

Transport - Driving standards Tsar of Jackie Stewart. No ban on IC engines and a race track in every county.

Policing - Snitches get stitches, Police get freedom to use a Kosh twice a day with no comeback.

Foreign Policy - All welcome if you are useful, if you aren’t, off you fuck.

Military spending - Double it, more tanks and something with lasers and cool red glasses helmets.

Tax, flat 20% tax on every single thing above 10k.

I expect nirvana in 2 years.

Dave!

Rejoin the EU

90mph speed limit on motorways, but increased budget for traffic cops so they can address the dangerous driving that has little or nothing to do with speed.

Complete clean up of 'social protection' - circa 30% total annual govt. spend. Send the scroungers out to work or military service, and a Franklin Covey bank account approach in where you can only get out what you've put in.

MP & Lord tax & re-coup all of the millions they have amounted from being bent.

Spot fines for “being a dickhead”

Witnessed spitting on the floor? That’s £30 please
Being a knob to a shop worker who’s trying their best? £50 please
Leaving supermarket trolly in the middle of a car park on a windy day? £50 or £15,000 if it blows into someone’s car

New sentence for shoplifting- police take you to a cctv black spot. And that’s it………

All current taxes abolished and replaced by VAT which is applied to absolutely everything and every one. No exemptions.
I’ve instantly solved millions of hours of pointless government bickering and freed up millions of hours worth of time which can be spend on actual useful things for GDP and closed every loophole.

Smart motorways and speed bumps abolished. 20 mph zones abolished. If town mayors want to impose emissions charges every penny they’ve made from those charges must be spent on visible environmental projects.

Foreign aid - bin this, it’s all pissed on corruption, and spend it on those less well off here. Not a single homeless person if this is done.

Debt problem - we’re never getting out of debt with the current trajectory and never will. Hence I would start a state owned petroleum and petrochemical company and eventually become an exporter thus reducing the debt burden. UK petrol and diesel capped at £1 a litre, gas at a cheap price too. That’s inflation also solved for the long term.

Farming - bring back subsidies for actual farming rather than asking farmers to rip up fields and plant fucking wildflowers instead.

Military - 2.5% of GDP

NHS - ramp up spending on this as money from oil starts coming in.
How about not having a sig at all?

Most of my policies would involve extreme pettiness and a *lot* of bullets to the head.

Can we do something about lane discipline on the motorway ? Now I've started driving to work again (specifically I'm using the M4 from junctions 10-17) I'm reminded of this every time. There's regularly some muppet creating a rolling road block by sitting in the middle lane doing 67mph.

This thread makes me wonder, has anyone seen @ZedLeg? Don't think I've seen him post for a little while.

Vote for me, my policies will fix that problem quite, quite permanently.

I was thinking more APCs armed with 20mm autocannons patrolling the roads, but that could also work as a backup option.

He's too busy baiting in NP&E on PH. Which is not a healthy way to spend one's time

Someone go and get him back over here! I'd do it myself but I'm allergic.

That's why we love you, you're willing to reach a reasonable compromise.
