Re: Randomness
They do a 27 seater too - that looks even funnier because the rear overhang appears to be the same as the big one, it's just a shorter wheelbase:
Re: Randomness
If you get a few fab blokes to sit at the back will it do wheelies from the lights?

It's not just us that does that - it's fairly widespread. Angleterre, Pays de Galles and so on, and that's just in French.Mito Man wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 10:50 am I think if someone who is non local imposes a title for that group then it is deemed automatically offensive. See Eskimo and in more recent times the re-naming of mountains.
This also brings up something quite interesting in our language in which we rename locations to presumably be able to pronounce them.
Should we call country and city names in their local dialect? Eg should Switzerland be Suisse and Geneva pronounced Ji-nev.
It’s like the whole Kiev to Kyiv thing.
Spain is a bit weird where the locals automatically change your name to the Spanish version
Anyway that’s enough shit can opening for a Tuesday morning.
As for the whole hottentot thing. Hmm, trouble is where do you stop? Do the French have to start putting advisories on any film where the British are referred to as Rosboeufs? Do we have to stop referring to Germans as Krauts?

If the original use of the term is intended to offend or belittle, then yes, it should be stopped.
Don't rewrite history by removing it, but I see no harm in calling it out.

I've always thought that bin lorries and sweepers could have a strong magnetic strip mounted across them. They go everywhere every week so you'd have the roads cleared of all ferrous material. Then again it's of minimal benefit for the council and the government will lose out on millions in VAT over a year.
How about not having a sig at all?
