60’s car magazine test car of compact cars…

The numbers are pretty laughable today - only one capable of breaking the 75mph vmax barrier, but the brake fade test is just nuts - a 0.5g stop from approx 55mph, performed 20 times, but with 1 minute intervals between each stop!

Strange that they used a fiat 600 not an 850, which is much closer in size and layout to the imp. Maybe it was too expensive?

I loved having pop-up lights on the 944S2. 8-)

Except when washing it - if you popped them up it was difficult to reach the rearmost edge of the covers, so I tended to pop them up mid-wash. :geek:

You don't have anything like that yet the same exclusions apply.

I'm sure a lot of far more recent cars would struggle 30-50 in top.
What engine size would the Mini have been?
