Not my experience. We had mice under the house and one of them decided to die there. The stench was awful, and after that came flies.

Found the skeleton when we had that part of the floor up.

I agree that a mouse wouldn’t smell. It also wouldn’t be coming up from the sewer, so I suspect the contractor is fairly sure these are rats.

I was interrupted posting that by one of our indoor cats running around making guttural noises with a few others following him. He had a dead shrew in his mouth. Happily handed it over for me to dispose of.

I thought that rat had a huge scrotum then I realised it’s not its scrotum 😂
How about not having a sig at all?
