Weird car wants.
Re: Weird car wants.
S350 sounds good, here's one thirty miles from you, off you pop to buy it, see you Saturday for No Specific Reason, aye?

One of the very cars I've seen...

It was literally the closest one to your town that I saw on Autotrader that I linked for the joke, don't take that as a recommendation or anything

yep, not so much about this occurrence, it's just an observation (and purely that, not a criticism in any way at all) that you post this same thing pretty much every year - "new job, need new car for commute."Zonda_ wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 8:17 pmThis job has taken a long time to stsrt due to security clearance. I knew I was starting a long time ago.Rich B wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 8:01 pm You seem to be always changing cars to suit a new job/commute! Do you change jobs often or am I just getting old and time is passing quickly?
I can't work out if buying selling cars based on getting specific roles (rather than when you get bored of or want a new car) is a good thing or a bad thing.
I find the motives people have for swapping cars quite interesting - you clearly have no qualms in ditching a car quickly when circumstances change, whereas I'm the complete opposite and will carry on with a completely unsuitable car for years!

It’s the 20mpg that’ll get boring if I have to start doing more miles.

Re: Weird car wants.
I had a quick google but could only find average owner ages for Murca and a list that had everyone for everything at ~50
Re: Weird car wants.
I don't do track days, but my 'heavy' usage gets 24mpg, normal is around 27 and on long steady runs 31mpg. Not bad for a 4 litre engine really, and it does make me smile when I open the garage door.

Lovely looking (at least from the inside) Phaeton - https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/it ... 433591851/
Edit - it's also in Shotton Colliery so a quick drive up the A19 to see it.

The diesel Phaeton? I don't think it can be that much to tax.
How about not having a sig at all?
