I increasingly realise it is not how hard you work at the work but the value of the work.

Or how you make others percieve the value of the work.

I see a lot of people working very hard on things that only seem to be valuable to themselves. We get told work hard = reward, I don't believe that is the case.

Very true, you first need to pick a profession that pays well and then become one of the best (or at least very good) at it.

I bought Chris Harris' audiobook and it's brilliant. I'm about halfway through and he comes across exactly as you hope he would. His Mum was also clearly an utter legend.

His career aside, his childhood love of cars, TV shows with cars etc seems identical to mine and I expect many on here given our similar ages. Highly recommended.
