Do they offer a curated selection of hand picked artisan automobile works of art ? If not I'm very definitely oooot.

Did the rebranding come with a higher auction fee?
How about not having a sig at all?

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Yeah, so OK, they're miniature. I misunderstood. This:
https://www.ultimasports.co.uk/Previous/UltimaSports
Says 3880mm !
That's slightly shorter (length) than my previous MINI Clubman, and over 300mm shorter (height) and with several hundreds mores horespowerrssss.
And means I probably don't fit into them anyway. I honestly thought they were GT sized.

Terrible photo, but yeah - they are small and definitely look it beside normal traffic. Part of me lusts after one, and part of me hates the looks at the top of the screen, and feels that whilst lack of TC and ESP are understandable, the absence of ABS is a step too far back in time. (Hence I am really surprised that the new Noble M500 doesn’t have it either).

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
I’ve never really liked the ultima, I understand their appeal for being bonkers fast ‘racecar’ but to my eyes they’ve always just looked like a weirdly proportioned kitcar version of a proper gt race car.
Cheers, Harry
Re: Teh Spotted Thread
@integrale_evo You're not alone.
The basic design dates back to the early 80's (!), but they did actually race them. See https://www.ultimasports.co.uk/History/1983
Fast Lane mag tested several Ultima GTR's in the 80's and 90's, and confirmed that they are extremely quick. Growling/howling V8 soundtrack and the kit-car* price tag - there is still a lot to like there for mik, in a "this could easily end in tears" extreme vehicle.
*in a similar way to Caterham's being kit cars.
The one in the pic above now looks like this, and was supposed to be at an event I took a mate's son too recently. Owned by the organiser. I was hoping to have a poke about it, but he didn't make it on the day.

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Pretty sure at one point a big-lunged Ultima was the fast car for 0-100-0
Then it got eaten alive by a Caterham Superlight R or similar featherweight, and more recently the electric stuff has taken over that IIRC.

S1 is 3726mm according to Wikipedia. I love how small the Elise is.Sundayjumper wrote: ↑Sun Nov 05, 2023 11:42 pm Yeah, so OK, they're miniature. I misunderstood. This:

I love Ultimas unsurprisingly.
Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Few spotters tonight although it’s a shopping centre so doesn’t count much.
New Model 3 and Model X
Both were LHD.
And there’s a Fisker dealer here too now
Looks like a futuristic Evoque with a wide body kit, seemed about the same size too but it’s packing a 100+ kWh and does over 400 miles. Decent specs for an EV and pricing too.
Might be a decent Tesla alternative if it’s put together alright.

I’ve just noticed from the picture that the vinyl stickers on the bonnet run straight to the bumper without being cut so you can’t open the bonnet
Piss poor whoever did that!
