BMW M2 v Porsche Cayman GT4 v Alpine A110 R (evo mag)

Post by mik »

Since it is shared publically.....

Manuel GT4 would be my choice from that trio.

Yes. Eye-test passed ;)

edit: I think the difference is due to aero requirements

Thankfully your choice is the correct choice.

Correct choice Mik. I have no interest in the M2 and the A110R just doesn't make sense to me where an A110 does.

From that selection the GT4 is the only correct answer Shirley?

I wouldn't have a GT4 as my choice of 982 spec and I wouldn't have the A110 R as my choice of A110 spec. So I couldn't choose between them but I'd have either over the M2.

I've not read it yet, but it seems a little odd to put a £60k 4 seater in with two £80-90k hardcore versions of 2 seater coupes?

Agree. The M2 is aimed at a completely different market. Id see the M2 more as a daily.

exactly, i think most ///Ms are designed to be daily driven and obviously have the compromises to do so.

I guess they saw the old CS in the mix with GT4s and more exotic stuff and thought it was worth including as a wildcard.

Agreed. I would have taken a GT4 in a heartbeat over an M2, but no rear seats and $65k premium (Australian$) puts in a different category for me
