Looks like it should say Hyundai on the back. Not necessarily a bad thing given current bmw styling

It makes me think Alfa Romeo more than anything, especially the back. It's got to be a better direction than the XXXXL grill direction they've been heading though. Especially when EVs don't even need big grills.

That was what I thought too - something about the rear reminded me of both GTA and 75.

And yes - much better than the current direction. As noted previously - BMW had one of these on display at Knockhill for the BTCC - it was every bit as ugly in the metal.

Side profile I’m getting a strong Maserati Biturbo vibe.

So, even though it looks a lighter design (and a much better one as already mentioned), it’s reported the battery pack will be 20% more energy dense with a 30% improvement in range and charge rate.

https://www.carspecslab.com/bmw/i4/battery-weight/

The i4 battery pack weighs 550kg, so if we assume the same battery kWh, then it’ll be about 100kg lighter than the current i4 which weighs 2125kg, so it’s still going to be a 2T vehicle.. :?

It seems that cars are never going to be be 1500kg any more; god knows what that’ll do for the 911 (and other sports cars) when their elec replacements show up!

Isn’t the 911 Turbo already a +1700kg car? Which is the same as the big battery Model 3 long range RWD version which is a large steel car capable of carrying 5 people and has no fancy composites in its construction.
It isn’t beyond reason to think that we can have a relatively light EV but it’s cheaper to make a bloated car and everyone is chasing profit margins these days.
How about not having a sig at all?
