A carbon-tubbed supercar weighing in at 1700kg with just a V6 and no batteries?
I was just comparing the size with Harry’s Emira (which is 20vm shorter and no fantastic lightweight at 1500kg with alu tub) when I saw on Maser website that they claim the MC20 carbon tub is 100kg, with the overall car weighing <1500kg

I didn't realise the Emira was that much actually, I'd have guessed 1400kg. I think I'm just out of touch with how much modern cars weigh.
Yeah - despite it going from 2+2(small ones) to 2-seater with a little storage behind the seats…. Emira is heavier than Evora.
I watched this last night and it sounds good, looks ok too, but like that recent thread on the F-Type, who is going to buy this? I think I’ve seen more Macans in the last week than I have Jags in the last year. If you’re at that price area of the market, I’d imagine Porsche, BMW and Mercedes are going to take the lions share of the sales.
Jaguar seem to make some cracking editions of cars like the Project 8 for example, but that’s low volume, expensive and niche. How are they going to keep the lights on at this rate? I’ve no idea how their finances are doing or what their business model is.
Our Harry about to argue with The Harry about "too low"??
I enjoyed that.
Great insights from Pooky - who I've followed on twitter for ages, with interest in the stuff he's developed for the Alpine, but had no knowledge of his credentials. Respect.
Project8 also looked/sounded far more desirable than I have ever thought/felt previously. Serious piece of kit.

Snap!
I’ve always been a fan of fast saloons but the project 8 gets more special with age.
Must admit I’ve never really been a fan of it though. Probably doesn’t help that every video of it feels as much like a sales pitch as it does genuine enthusiasm.

"Track friendly mode"
I wonder if there are any road regs it falls foul of like that so the other config. is really just a way round them?
@Rich B ; when are you getting Spires to fettle the M2?
i'd love to drop the M2 a little, but there's so many times already that I hear the bottom of the front bumper skimming the kerb in a parking space that even 20 lower would have it colliding.

I think Harry's P8 is fooking ace, I don't know whether that's just him having sold it to me over a number of years or not, but I still want it...
I think it looks great (preferably without the wing ) and it's bloody rapid and sounds really good too. But for me it's probably a bit too heavy and I don't think my money would go on one if I had the change floating around in my back pocket.
Im tempted to take the 5 to these guys, I’ve used Aline in Dudley for years but they arent keen to touch cars with self driving and similar modern tech. I have been thinking about another ac schnitzer suspension upgrade too as it really improved the ride of the z4 and a similar upgrade would suit the characteristics of this car.
That jag is super cool, the only downside is that rear doors without rear seats really triggers my inner ocd.
