I remember about 20 years ago my wife nagged for us to go out for dinner on Valentine's Day. I warned her, it'll be shit - restaurants have no atmosphere when there's no bigger groups of people, they'll try and do fixed menus to get 3 sittings in, etc... she still wanted to, so we went to a restaurant that we really liked.... and Sure enough, we never went out on VD again.

We don't have an anniversary.. We sort of drifted together over the space of a few months and as we're not married, there's no annual date I need to worry about forgetting.

which is nice... Image

Same, we narrowed ours down to October 2010 because someone asked but we don’t do anything.

Really just birthdays and christmas for organised gift giving tbh.

Mine didn't get a card as I've been unable to do much as I have a cold.

She was very thankful for the box of seeds and bulbs to grow her own flowers. 😀

I went away for 3 nights today so went to the butchers this morning and bought a her a beef casserole and dumplings. I left it in the fridge as a treat for when she gets back from work.

That's better than a shitty card and flowers. 😁

The woman in the photo looks like she’s planning his funeral- with an immediate start to proceedings
