:D Sensible and sound investment! It will depreciate fairly slowly if you get bored of it.

But by gum you will never get bored 8-)

Slight elephant in the room, how do you feel about having a 2 seater sports car that's actually slower accelerating than the 5 door hatchback you swapped it for? πŸ˜ƒ

Fuck that. Life is short, it’s not an insane amount of money really and you’ve got a Porsche.

If you need to ask, you've never owned a Porsche, which is also a drop top. Nob.

I know what you mean, but having driven the GTS, it feels really special even at slow speed

But it does highlight just how crazy 'ordinary' cars are now

Yeah, I was just reading a TG review and they made the obvious comparisons to A45/M235i and they dismissed the "mere numbers". Having owned a powerful NA manual before, I definitely get how the power delivery side can make a massive difference to the character of a car before even going into the handling side.

Soon to be followed by the thought "Why didn't I do this years ago" 😁

Great choice Dave, looks wonderful... J'Approuve!

Probably quite similarly to someone who would lose every drag race to the auto version of their own car.

Running a performance n/a engine all the way to the redline is addictive in a way a turbo car can’t compete

pretty sure the dual clutch M2 isn't around half the price of the manual though! πŸ˜‚

Looks great Dave. Well chosen.

I keep eyeing these up as a potential replacement for the Elise. But then I drive the Elise and decide again its not going anywhere

Nice car. Of course you realise there is no way back now... I say this as someone on their 7th consecutive Porsche.

Collected the Boxster on Saturday :)

down here it wasn't really Boxster weather - grey, with some light drizzle, but we managed to get the hood down a few times

took my Mum out for a little run (I think she was maybe more excited about me getting the car than I was!) - she was clapping and laughing outloud

yesterday (Sunday) was much a much nicer day - clear blue skies, sun etc

picked up a good friend (Clayton, ex of the Evo forum) and we headed out for a rambling around the Sussex roads

what an amazing experience - it was everything I'd hoped a convertible Porsche would be - just a brilliant car, and so much fun

even did a tunnel run on the A27 near Shoreham - it makes such a noise! (and that was only 6k - redline starts at 8)

first couple of days have been amazing - I can't believe that Porsche parked outside is MY Porsche!
