Why Checo?
Because he’s apparently admitted to purposefully crashing in Monaco qualifying

I don't, hulkenburg has had years and achieved nothing, the seat is better used on a new driver getting experience.

One second rate driver who potentially has room to improve replaced by another second rate driver who has no more room to improve.

Absolutely this. Ricciardo would have made more sense, unless he thinks Haas is beneath him.

A very weird decision in my view.

Nah, Schumi got beat by a second rate driver, the best you can hope for is that he'd improve to second rate. I see Haas having two second rate drivers as an improvement, and Hulk and Mag will bag them more points as a combo I suspect.

Agree DR would have been worth a shot, but he seems so inconsistent at the moment, and reliant on a car that suits him. I suspect Hulk is a bit more resilient to the car being iffy.

Haas abandoned their 2021 car to focus on developing the 2022 machine. Which is still shit. They need experienced drivers to help the development process instead of mik and that Russian knob to move up the field.

With the limits on testing, wind tunnel and even computer usage the best place to develop a car from is the drivers seat. There’s only so much you can gain from a simulator

ETA- Remember hulk has had a hand in developing astons cars. Granted they’re a bit shite but he’s not had real world experience of them

I see the cunts at RB are now trying to gaslight everyone

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/63664552

And lol @ Max's comments about the hurtful remarks on social media and threats made to his family, when his mum has posted on Instagram alleging Perez having been a bit naughty after Monaco.

It's a shame de Vries is heading to Williams and not somewhere more competitive as I'd love to see the fallout in the orange army if there was any competition between the two.

"I have never been a bad team-mate, I have always been very helpful. "

I would remind everyone that 78% of poll respondents believe him to be a weapons-grade arsehole, although we were unable to decide on how Perez should demonstrate his appreciation with 50% going for punch-in-the-coupon and the other 50% a kick square in the chuckies.

To qualify, yes I would probably have preferred to see some young blood come into the sport, but Mick hasn't cut it. Hulk was a decent consistent driver and as others have said will bag points and help develop the car.

I am struggling to think of any F2 drivers that have really wowed, most of the front runners were 3 or 4 seasons in, there wasn't a standout like Piastri or GR or even Hult tbf, way back when.

This picture is worth 1000 words

Hamilton, in a warm embrace with George and Perez meanwhile Max is surrounded by the 2 drivers being kicked out of F1. Honourable mention for how tiny Yuki is!

or it could just a easily be - "photographer catches well media trained Hamilton and Russell in the middle of a fight and verstappen coming back from the toilet"

We don't really need false narrative - max is laying it all out for us!

As long as he's compliant he'll be fine. He's already made a statement about regretting his comments at the weekend. The guy's been brought into line.

So LeClerc did finish 2nd in the championship, denying RB the 1-2 finish they were so keen to achieve - and would have done so without The Stapp being such a massive cock last week. Excellent. 😎

Yup. Can't help but wonder how loyal Perez will be feeling now. And, as is obvious it paints Max in a very bad light when he can't even sacrifice a couple of points that won't make any difference to him for the benefit of the team. Although I'm sure they've got a ready excuse to hand.
