If you weren't impressed a few years ago you won't be impressed now because they're really no different bar having a few more sensors and more gimmicky additions.Beany wrote: ↑Thu Nov 03, 2022 5:36 pmSame. I tried an old smartwatch a few years ago and wasn't impressed, but apparently they're better now?Swervin_Mervin wrote: ↑Thu Nov 03, 2022 2:08 pm Yeah a bit weird for me tbh - I haven't worn a watch in probably 15 years or so - there's no need is there when you have a phone?
But I'm not turning free shit down - I'd lose my Northern Passport.
Who knows.

Re: Pixel 7
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Pixel 7
Heartrate sensor might be interesting/scary to use old watch didn't have any of that stuff, that's how old it was.
Re: Pixel 7
Heart rate sensor on mine ended up saving my life so you never know

Re: Pixel 7
I think my one will just report 'oh my god you're so, so fucked' on a regular basis
Re: Pixel 7
I find mine useful as I work in an environment where my phone has to be on silent but I can still receive and read notification on my watch.Swervin_Mervin wrote: ↑Thu Nov 03, 2022 2:08 pm Yeah a bit weird for me tbh - I haven't worn a watch in probably 15 years or so - there's no need is there when you have a phone?

Deary me, just saw the 'Lucian' advert.
Re: Pixel 7
Probably gonna need a little more context than that.
Re: Pixel 7
Lispy overweight millenial. Demographic.
Re: Pixel 7
Oof, that is a bit cringe isn't it.
Also, remember, I'm 40 and I'm technically a millennial.

Re: Pixel 7
Ha, fair enough. Cringe is right, though.
Honestly I don't get the difference between a £200 phone to a £600. My A53 5G much better than work-issued iPhone 13.

Re: Pixel 7
I tend to agree, but the P7 Pro was a present to myself, and the only 'big ticket' thing I intend to buy for a while.
Otherwise I'd have picked up a used P6 Pro.
The camera is pretty fucking impressive though.

Re: Pixel 7
The Pixel 6a is on offer at £299 which seems a bit of a bargain in a world of £800+ phones !
Re: Pixel 7
I have mine.
Re 800 quid phones, they really arent if on a decent contract tho.
Re: Pixel 7
Aye, I've got tracking info but not specific timeslot etc - perfect for when I've got a day full of meetings
Oh well, I expect it'll turn up soon enough.

Re: Pixel 7
Yodel - email saying its coming at anytime today but you can choose options if youre not in. As Yodel are meant to be shit I was quite impressed - you even get the guys name and mobile to contact them. Thats progress.
Re: Pixel 7
Yeah, mine turned up later in the afternoon, it's quite snazzy.
So far my heartrate hasn't gone below 80 or above 110, how long till I die?
