Time Team (returns)

Post by davecG60 »

Not sure if it's of any interest to you rabble but Time Team is back.
There's new presenters but with endorsements from Tony Robinson, it promises t be an updated version of old. You may well recognise a few familiar faces from the original series as well. Sadly there are also a few who are no longer around but they do get "honorary" mentions as the digs go on.

I'm loving it all ( which may be just because I've nowt else to do currently !) and have also found there are plenty of old episodes of Time Team available online.

The last time they dug up a garden in my part of Gloucester they found 3 bodies and not long after took away every brick, tile and timber of the house, ground it up into dust and dumped it in undisclosed locations.

I'm not keen on that happening to my place so I'm not going to try any excavations just in case.

The one in Cromwell Street. Midland Road (literally a couple of stones throws from my house) was never excavated. It's generally assumed it's because the case nearly bankrupted Gloucestershire constabulary and they had enough to ensure Fred and Rose would never see daylight again.
