Drugs, (and absurd job updates)
Re: Drugs
It's very on brand for me - sysadmin stuff with projects, and some light staff management. I've not done that before but presumably they liked how I talked about how your should treat people, etc.Rich B wrote: Mon Apr 11, 2022 6:39 pmyes Bean!Beany wrote: Mon Apr 11, 2022 6:34 pm The candidate pool must have been poor, I've been made an offer I can't refuse.
Currently sitting in the car in the (current) works car park having a visual migraine from the utter shock.
Is it what you want?
is it at the money that will make a difference?
Is it free of odd CEO/MD/bosses ?
Oh yes. It's a 50% pay jump.
Appears to be, it's a tech company run by techs so no more misunderstandings in that respect, which was always the problem at current place.
I'm still in the car, still feeling shaky

Re: Drugs
Big congrats beany. See if you’ve got a handbook/contract from your current job to check notice length times before submitting your resignation. If they’ve genuinely not got anyone who can do your current job they might try and make you do a stupidly long notice period so best to go into it informed

I've been watching the market carefully for about six months, looking for interesting orgs to work for; the current job was jumping from the frying pan (being out of work) to the fire (abusive employer).240PP wrote: Mon Apr 11, 2022 8:50 pm Nice one!
Two interviews, both positive with an offer from one.. should have done this ages ago, you stupid cunt![]()
My plan has always been to jump out of the fire and out of the entire kitchen.
I just didn't expect to do it almost entirely accidentally
