Yeah, the rumour is actually that they're going to fire all their employees and replace with cheaper foreign labour.

I suspect it'll turn a bit ugly. All crew fired with immediate effect. Unions telling crew to stay on the ships. Looks like a right duck move by P&O.

Crikey. Worked for P&O Cruises years ago, different operation I know but my god they were stuck in their ways. Call centre staff had to wear uniforms, us IT folks had to wear ties, stuff like that. They’ve modernised since then but I still hear tales from those who remain (not many of them though, they were COVID culled last year).

Because they'll pay the fines with the money saved in staffing costs.
Carnival Corp, who own p&o are a billion dollar company. Like they give a fuck about a potential couple of million quid fine for breaking employment law

Under EU employment law, yes. As I understand it, they've moved HQ to Cyprus which means UK employment law doesn't apply so that's another Brexit bonus.
If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.
