nice - deposits too or just monthlies ?
Just monthlies. A charging point was only about £5 extra a month too.
absolute no-brainer then!

I mentioned Taycans as they were in the 500-600pm region for higher rate tax payers.

I suspect they are considerably more or even unobtanium atm.

This has got me thinking about chopping in the golf for a cayman at last and take out a lease deal on something small that will get me easily to work and back like an ID3.
Ours is through that scheme (I work for the local authority) and some what you think would be expensive cars are good value. Especially taking it into account that everything other than out of the ordinary maintenance is included - servicing, insurance, tyres.
EVs are obviously the best value due to the 1% BIK of these, that you still need to pay for any lease through the scheme
Agree it’s amazing. A Taycan is available too.

Running fwend gave me a lift home in his e-tron GT last night. My internal organs are still catching up. Very rapid. Get one of those.

Sadly my wife works in the NHS but can't get the bonkers salary sacrifice deals for some reason.

Anyway, picked up our new boring car on Monday.

Leaf looks great in the grey; I think the design still stands up pretty well. Enjoy!

The worst driven cars I’ve encountered over the last few months have been Merc EQCs. Just rude and ignorant rather than aggressive; obviously bought by people with no interest in driving nor concern for others.

Their range is shit so I console myself that they won’t be on the road for long and have the car they deserve.

Funny you say this but on the way back from Bristol last month there was one slowing down and speeding up all the time. Eventually I just put my foot down to get away as she was pissing everyone else off around her.

But just think how happy they'll be having a long break for wee's and coffee 😂

Having looked into it, there are some caveats around how permanent your post is. I don't think I'll be able to access it as I'm going to move into a research job soon and, although I will be working in the same hospital and doing a lot of the same stuff, my salary will move to the university because Science.

Nontheless, I have convinced myself an EV is the right call so I'm going to get a test drive on an ID3.
