most of those are the expensive AMG specific bits too - that'll be a BIG bill...nuttinnew wrote: ↑Mon Feb 21, 2022 7:24 pmSwervin_Mervin wrote: ↑Mon Feb 21, 2022 10:56 am Got back home last night half expecting to see a ridge tile through the back windscreen of the 330, but all fine.
A friend's C63 has been been battered by tiles; at least one headlight broken, bonnet, both wings, both bumpers dented and/or scratched, windscreen broken, etc etc

Yup, I wonder what availability will be like as well. He's not had it long either The bit that surprised me, his excess is only £150!
It's silver; here's hoping he doesn't get it back looking like an addition to your front wing album.

The wind's dropped, the sky is clear, the moon just showing its face. I'm caught between fancying a night drive and cba.
Re: The Weather Thread.
I've been having similar thoughts on a few nights recently, but a) don't have a car and b) its been getting really cold at nights here so not sure how spirited it would be with the state of the roads.
Cheers,
Mike.

I don't know about anywhere else but we've got 40 -odd hours rain forecast. I don't know how heavy, either way it won't help already flooded places.
I'm surprised I haven't seen that 940 in a Ukraine - Russia meme.

Ridge tiles are heavy bastards - even the palm sized pieces I picked up could do some real damage if you got clocked by one.
A colleague was telling me they lost a few ridge tiles at their last place and they landed edge into the lawn, half into the ground
Re: The Weather Thread.
He's only had it about six months as well, probably not even that long.
That's the problem when the wind's like that, seemingly small things (e.g. compared to tree falling down) can do disproportionate amounts of damage. There's been lots of smaller bits of debris on the roads after the storms that looks ripe for damaging undertrays etc. Maybe this rain will tidy it up a bit.

It's snowing horizontally quite heavily here now
Re: The Weather Thread.
Tiny covering of snow in the early hours of yesterday and today. The 7 miles, pretty much arrow straight road, I use daily has been closed both days due to accidents. One was a 5 series that had spun and ripped the side open on a crash barrier, today was an E class coupe that had done the same thing.

Tonight's is just up, 99% full.
