The Weather Thread.
Re: The Weather Thread.
There have been a lot of crushed cars on TikTok, Porsches, buses, vans and an Aston disadVantage which had been crushed by a garage https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMLr6F7j3/

Strongest wind so far here, feels like the walls are moving!
Re: The Weather Thread.
The wind is picking up again here (still at ~40mph), it's forecast to be strongest around 19:00 at mid 50s mph, then yoyo through tomorrow.

Bin Day today and our recycling (Kerbside bags) has vanished overnight God knows where it's ended up...
Re: The Weather Thread.
Worth a phone call to Kansas? See if they landed there?
Re: The Weather Thread.
Nope…
Re: The Weather Thread.
I thought it was about as bad as Eunice yesterday around 7pm but there wasn’t even a warning around that time. Wind direction was different too so even more trees battered.
Looking at the weather radar there’s already another storm in the middle of the Atlantic which looks like it’ll get here in a few days time
How about not having a sig at all?

Re: The Weather Thread.
Got back home last night half expecting to see a ridge tile through the back windscreen of the 330, but all fine.
Have had to move the cars this morning though as overnight 3-4 ridge tiles have been blown off, with 2.5 now sat in the valley of the main roof and the rest having landed on next door's driveway! Thankfully the neighbour had started leaving their car further near the road on his driveway as he'd had a few bits blowing off his own roof in the last week or so.
I expect getting hold of a roofer in the next few days is going to be tricky.

Without the sound on, they almost look like football players faking falling over for a foul

Re: The Weather Thread.
The (redundant) aerial that's mounted to the top part of the gable end of my house made a partially successful bid for freedom the other night. The loft room window below it has started to leak, and I strongly suspect the two things are related. Got a roofer coming Wednesday to take a look.
If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.
Re: The Weather Thread.
I was only saying to the other half that I want the, also redundant, aerial on our new place taken down.
We left it too late in our past place (It was attached to the chimney stack) and the vibrations caused the Flaunching to crack, which broke two or 3 tiles on the roof when it fell onto the roof (out of sight) and I only noticed the leaking in the loft by chance.
The previous owners of our place had aerials in every room upstairs and a spider's web of co-ax in the loft. It'll all come out. No need any more

A friend's C63 has been been battered by tiles; at least one headlight broken, bonnet, both wings, both bumpers dented and/or scratched, windscreen broken, etc etc

Re: The Weather Thread.
I moved the e30 away from the house on Friday, but moved it back Saturday. Had a few squeaky bum moments when the wind was whipping up again last night!
Cheers, Harry
