We need to meet up in spring. @V8Granite can bring the 500E also.Delphi wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 12:05 pm Well that sucks @Jimmy Choo
Just picked up the 928 from Strasse where it's been for a service, MOT, new rear shocks, new anti-roll bar bushes, new fuel line, new electric window switches, new sunroof switch, brake fluid change, new brake lines throughout, 2 new ABS sensors, new brake wear wires and HVAC vacuum leaks fixed.
I've really missed driving it and can't wait to take it out for a proper run.

If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.

Zoe back from its brake fluid change and complementary wash. They also send a video presumably to walk around the car where they can talk about what they're doing. I got a 30s silent video of the front number plate...
I guess they've made some adjustments as well, the pedal felt unchanged, but the bite was a lot harder, the first few stops were rather abrupt.

I'm MiTo wanker now
They are pretty much the only thing my daughter liked that was reasonable to insure and this came up locally at a reasonable price so we went to have a nose this morning.
It's the little 875cc 105hp Twinair but plenty of go in it and a nice throaty exhaust note.
I'm looking forward to using it the next few months. I would have loved that as a 17yr old

Re: Your fleet running reports
I’ve decided to keep the Compact for the moment. I’ve gone from doing zero work miles to about 250 a week with the new job, split 50 in central London, 200 elsewhere.
The compact is great for this - I even treated it to the first wash in about 3 months on Friday.
The White Land Rover is back from my mechanic sorting some teething issues -
A couple of oil leaks (I rebuilt the engine 3 years ago and it was never run until last year), new fuel sender, throttle cable and earthing issue.
Need to find time to spend a couple of days in Leicester to fit the rear seats and hopefully drive it down to Cornwall at Easter.

Re: Your fleet running reports
Went for a bast yesterday among the whole world out in derbyshire. Wet, greasy, muddy roads around Bakewell, Leek, Buxton made it a bit tricky. On those sort of roads it was quite interesting to see how my boxster compared to a gt4. My mate said theres not much in it as traffic made his extra rev range hard to use (85 in 2nd). Great fun tho - his face when I nearly reversed into it was a picture
Re: Your fleet running reports
What speed/revs does your 2nd gear top out at @Broccers ?
