Much want for that than that E30 M3 Assuming it started life as a 6 slinger, what's the weight penalty of the 12 bore?

iirc it’s not much. The straight six has an iron block and the V12 is all aluminium.

Yeah, don’t think it’s anything daft, there have been a few e30 v12s over the years and the e36 platform sits the engine quite a bit further back.
Tbh though the e90 m3 v8 is the engine swap to do in the older cars at the moment, but, V12

Excellent, almost justifiable "because old engine heavy"
I don't know BMWs so no idea of the year of the V12 but it looks/seems like a decent period mod rather than anything unnatural. Probably where Aston got the idea from for the Vantage.

Compact was 94-2000, 850 csi was 91-96, could also get a v12 e38 750 through most of the 90s which would be adequate..
