Maybe - though we have had 4 second / third (for two weeks ) cars in that period so it hasn't stopped me buying one every 18 months or so

Funnily enough I think 13k is my psychological limit too, which is what my L200 set me back.

Combo is 3 years, L200 2 years, longest we've ever kept anything was the Grandis that we had for 5 years.

Edit - having said that, from a quick look on Autotrader & ebay I can't find another for sale with the same spec (Carrera 2 manual with aerokit) so maybe it is worth a few quid now.

Given the cheapest one on AT is 9,989 (surely 9,996 would have made more sense) and is Cat C write off... I'd say they don't want your business.

Ironically, the most expensive car I have bought (my current Golf) is about the most boring.

Sure the X-type smelled of burning oil intermittently, but at least it only cost £2k.

Surprised at that low figure. I thought even the 996 911 was starting to really increase in value. Better not put the tvr into wbac I reckon it will be a minus figure.

Seem to remember they once offered £175 for my e30 their valuations really don’t work very well for older / specialist stuff

My brother bought a brand new Grande Punto and still has it 15 years later. Might get another 5 out of it.

I swap cars too often (106 GTI at 7 years was the longest) but I still have the Ducati Monster I bought over 12 years ago after taking my bike test.

I'm less unsure than I was ! Hence my edit about not being able to find one in the same spec. Having checked Pistonheads as well there is *one* car for sale in the same spec as mine. It's marginally lower miles and looks tidier, but it's £23k:

911 got a new battery, needs a service and MOT, just over 1000 miles in thr last year

No Advisories on the MOT.

That was largely because it was in for tyres then ended up getting a new spring, rear toe arms, tightened hubs and fully calibrated and aligned suspension geometry. £800 later...

Apparently nothing obvious looming but that may be ill advised and famous last words.

On the drive home it was silky smooth though.

Old addition to the fleet - 2003 Citroen C5 110 HDI. One owner from new complete with beaded seat covers. It's in great condition and no issues in the MOT history, but they kept no history whatsoever and the fella said he serviced it himself

Only problem I can see so far is the clutch is biting high, but no actual slipping. Yet. I appreciate this may eventually scrap the car, but as I paid £500 I can live with this

Good to be back in a shonky French car, it's a lot more comfortable than the BX was
