Re: Randomness
The number of C&H cartoons that show Hobbes as he is, and Hobbes as Calvin sees him is actually really small.

Re: Randomness
I think there’s one where Hobbes attacks Calvin as he comes in the door from school which shows both too. Is there a list?mik wrote: Sun Aug 08, 2021 12:13 am The number of C&H cartoons that show Hobbes as he is, and Hobbes as Calvin sees him is actually really small.![]()
Re: Randomness
An excellent question - to which I don’t know the answer.
I recently had a random conversation with someone of similar vintage to myself who said “what do you mean Hobbes was a stuffed toy?” They clearly weren’t the biggest C&H fan, but I was rather dumbstruck that this fact (and huge cornerstone of the concept) had gone in-noticed, The other person was well aware he carried a stuffed toy tiger occasionally, but assumed that was ‘cos he was into tigers. ‘Cos y’know - he was mates with one.
I went immediately to google to demonstrate what a silly children they must have been, but then found it more challenging than I had anticipated to find a single comic strip showing him in both forms.
This is a particular favourite…
