£5k - what car
Re: £5k - what car
I’ve driven one of these. It was epic fun Rev you and short geared. Interesting
Re: £5k - what car
Having owned a Lupo GTi and a mk5 GTi I’d go for the mk5 unless size is the deciding factor.

Re: £5k - what car
Lupos have tons of character but I wouldn’t want to pay what a decent one costs these days

Buy this and spend the remaining £2K on coke and hookers.

If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.

If we're at the stage of recommending executive barges, how about a slightly rough E46 330d and drop the change on a hybrid turbo, intake, exhaust remap and a used LSD.Delphi wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 9:26 am Buy this and spend the remaining £2K on coke and hookers.

Hmmm - watch Hoovie's Garage. I don't think I'd have an older V8 BMW of that era now.
Re: £5k - what car
Yeah, especially the 6 series. They seem to be rot boxes.
The Phaeton is cool, I think I'd be disappointed with a V6 one knowing all the other interesting engine options though.

I know it's exceptionally stupid but I kind of love this. Would be good for one of those banger rallys

Not at that price!

Re: £5k - what car
W12 is the one to go for but there's none currently for sale that I can find - they're all V6 diesels.

Re: £5k - what car
Yeah, I had a look and didn't see anything. Would be tempted by the V10 diesel too.
