I noticed that the woofer in the drivers door wasn't working. Removed door panel and speaker to find this

Cheers, bit of a useless comparison below as drivers side was much worse than the passenger side and probably still is.

The Pretzel Wagon threw an airbag light just over a week ago.
Finally had time to get the code reader out and as suspected drivers side voltage fluctuation, quick spray of lube on the connector under the floor and all fine again (its had the connector under the seat removed already - there is an Audi advisory for this).
Glow plugs are definitely weak, job for summer to replace, will keep an eye out for a set.
Sadly not had time to do any more work on the rust on the front arches.

So the V60 went back last Thursday and I've been daily driving the 928 which is actually not as bad as I though it would be. I'm noticing all the niggles that I need to sort out more but aside from my wife complaining about having to squeeze into the rear buckets, it's not been too bad.

Max certainly likes "Daddy's white car" because "It's very loud and goes fast!"

If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.

Just completed the 'running in' mileage in my GTS 4.0 and can now confirm that it's acceptably quick up to 70mph. Beyond that I can only speculate. ;)

The alfasud let me down on Friday. Drove to work fine, but embarrassingly couldnt get it started after, just spinning and spinning but wouldn’t catch.

Took a plug out for a look and decided there was a very weak spark, rigged up a wire directly from the battery to the +ve on the coil and it fired straight up.

Seems a loose / dodgy ignition switch as I could get the ignition to turn off by wiggling the key about. Took it out and gave it a good flush with wd40 which cleaned out loads of black gunk and seems to be working fine. I now have a length of wire in my spares pack 😂

I think I've bought a Xantia Activa 😀

Just need to figure out picking it up once stay at home finishes, it's in Cambridge, hopefully I can get a lift down.

Classic insurance £120 with Lancaster as well which is handy 😎

We only ever got 2.0 Turbo's on this country.

Its a simple enough conversion, but a small boost tweak takes the 2.0 to 200hp which will be more than enough in 1300kg. Should be similar power to weight as a R56 Cooper S which was quick enough to have fun with.

The cornering ability is where the fun lies in these things 😎

Very cool. I spent some time speaking to those guys known for fitting V6 conversions (can't find them on Google now) at the '100 years of Citroën' celebration at Coventry Motofest

I will when its home and on the drive, I hardly know anything about it myself other than the chap I'm acquiring it from has had it for 10 years and owns a load of other citroens, CXs, BX 4x4s, BX Gti's and many more.

It wasn't listed for sale anywhere, he emailed me about a wanted ad I'd actually forgotten about, to see if I'd be interested.

The answer was very obviously yes and when can I pick it up

Sounds like it's mechanically sound, but visually challenged shall we say.

On the look out for a front bumper now, its a early car, its the best colour, Dante Red, and will be on its original wheels.

Very excited :D
