Re: Sabine Schmitz
Fuck, how said. I think it was on here a while back someone had posted she was pretty ill. 51 is no age at all.
I'm trying to remember when we'd first have heard of her, must have been back in the first days of the BMW 'Ring taxi?
RIP.

Re: Sabine Schmitz
Very sad news.
She had a fun, sunny and enthusiastic personality, and obviously a great driver. RIP

RIP, taken far too soon.
I briefly met her in around 2002 at the restaurant. Lovely friendly person indulging a crazy Australians Nurburgring questions.
So sad.

Re: Sabine Schmitz
Not been a great week for motorsport, first Murray, now Sabine. She seemed like such a lovely person. RIP.
If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.

Re: Sabine Schmitz
Yep, top gear did her a bit of a disservice by trying to make her wacky and crazy, but by all accounts in real live she was a lovely person and genuine enthusiast.
Cheers, Harry
Re: Sabine Schmitz
She was definitely fun and up for a challenge, rather than wacky (she was actually clever and multi-talented , as well as her driving abilities she was a horse rider, helicopter pilot and trained hotelier).integrale_evo wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 11:41 am Yep, top gear did her a bit of a disservice by trying to make her wacky and crazy, but by all accounts in real live she was a lovely person and genuine enthusiast.
I always got the impression it was Top Gear's way of trying to make her "one of the lads".
