I think that's the idea of the GTS, a road high performance version. I think it's cool.V8Granite wrote: Sun Dec 20, 2020 5:42 pmThose rubber band tyres look monumentally shit. GTS was always my favourite of the Cayennes....
Re: Today’s want
It will have variable ride height and it's not in high speed pursuit mode and everyone knows red cars are the fastest.

That colour was the colour of the launch press Cayenne GTSs - it's the right colour for them:

Re: Today’s want
Look alright but I’m not keen on it. I don’t think there’s a single sports biased SUV which is better all round than it’s standard version. Too heavy and tall so they end up with a ride which is too harsh.
How about not having a sig at all?

The GTS is the nicest, but that gen of Cayenne looked crap the second they bought out the next one.

And the newer one is a lot more expensive. It's not like I have limitless cash...Rich B wrote: Mon Dec 21, 2020 11:09 am ...that gen of Cayenne looked crap the second they bought out the next one.

I like it and the colour suits the GTS with its bodykit.
Re: Today’s want
The original Cayenne looked bad from the off, and the facelift really improved it.Rich B wrote: Mon Dec 21, 2020 11:09 am The GTS is the nicest, but that gen of Cayenne looked crap the second they bought out the next one.
But of course, the original was part of the VW Tourareg over-engineered era and the replacement was cheaper to make, so there's a lot of appeal to this. Though maybe less so if you already have basically the same car in Touareg form...

It’s an S Class on stilts and a wonderful drive, very rare with that engine aswell.
Better than the 4x4 that can’t manage a kerb.
Mumble grumble.

Pah, drive one, a bit annoyed that wasn’t about when I was in the market for mine 6 years ago. It’s a much better ride than every 4x4 I drove at the time.
If they could do one in midnight blue when we change cars I’ll jump all over it.

I've been very sideways in a GL63 (driven by a professional racing driver). Hilarious handling!
Re: Today’s want
Everything about it is better than a D4, I fully expect the D4 to be a much better toe car and a GL uses the same off-road logic as the ML, which is shit.
GL if I needed 7 seats, D4 if I didn’t.
