Marmite Peanut Butter Crunchy
Re: Marmite Peanut Butter Crunchy
Tried this now. It is confusing to eat, I went from liking it to not being sure to liking it several times over the course of a slice of toast!Broccers wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 4:56 pm I really can't decide if I like this or not. On one hand it is fucking awful but it actually isn't that bad in the scheme of peanut butters.
Have you tried it, am I mad for even liking it a bit.

On balance, it's inferior to just plain old Marmite on a piece of toast IMO.
Re: Marmite Peanut Butter Crunchy
I put some Marmite and some Whole Earth peanut butter on toast on Thursday. It wasn’t particularly nice. I’m not going to bother buying the ready-combined stuff.

The wife wasn't sure but thinks it will work well in a satay sauce . I'm game

Try Bovril.
Bovril is significantly > Marmite.
The Evo forum really is a shadow of its former self. I remember when the internet was for the elite and now they seem to let any spastic on

Ah but you probs have butter mixed with your marmite which makes it nicer imo.duncs500 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 9:28 amTried this now. Might have to buy another jar to try that out as this is disappearing too quickly! The wife has decided she does like it afterall.duncs500 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 8:42 pmShe might be on to something there, let me know how you get on!Swervin_Mervin wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 7:33 pm The wife wasn't sure but thinks it will work well in a satay sauce . I went to buy more too - they've put the price up from 2 quid to 2.40 in Tescos. KP Crunchy was on offer so bought that instead. It's preferable to Whole Earth.

Re: Marmite Peanut Butter Crunchy
Whole Earth organic is the best peanut butter but would be utterly useless to make satay.
Re: Marmite Peanut Butter Crunchy
I love the whole earth organic Peanut Butter, I only buy it when it's on offer so it's a wee treat . The dark roast one is really good too.
Usually get the really big tub of the not organic whole earth crunchy. We go through a lot of peanut butter.

An absolute unit
Re: Marmite Peanut Butter Crunchy
I spread some of the marmite crunchy stuff on an omelette earlier. It sort of worked
Re: Marmite Peanut Butter Crunchy
I accidentally bought the organic Whole Earth and it’s even nicer. Fucking gorgeous stuff, just a bit pricey
Nath, it tastes of peanuts, not additives, sugar etc.

Whole Earth is v nice. I'm also a fan of Pip & Nut's stuff.
The Marmite one has now almost gone
