Teh Spotted Thread
Re: Teh Spotted Thread
The Toyota looks like a Russian copy of a Toyota.
Spotted this magnificent thing
And finally a new Supra I like
I’d only seen them before in light colours which just draws attention to the overly fussy styling but in dark blue that all blends in and you just focus on the nicely rounded lines, arches in particular look amazing.

How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Ooh I don't know. That one has its original Park Lane BMW dealer plates. +10 Kudos points just for that
Re: Teh Spotted Thread
I saw a white Lotus Europa ("new" style) this morning - it hasn't aged as well as the Elise or VX's imo.

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Rare - they didn’t sell well.
They never looked as good to me as the Elise/VX, and the aim of a friendlier more practical Elise wasn’t really realised from my perspective. I guess most prospective customers felt similar.
Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Ooh, I love the 8C.
I saw a 4C at the weekend. They really look exotic; shame they're not as good a car as an Elise or Alpine A110 so no reason to buy one - and that's doubtless why they're quite rare - but they are lovely things to see out and about.
Re: Teh Spotted Thread
I've yet to see either a new Z4 or a Supra.Mito Man wrote: ↑Mon Aug 10, 2020 10:56 pm The Toyota looks like a Russian copy of a Toyota.

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Although sport did get you a smattering of M badges here and there just to confuse things further
Cheers, Harry
Re: Teh Spotted Thread
is it as clear cut as that? I remember reading a thread about it ages ago - someone said that the very late facelifts (so not Beanys one!) were M sport on the logbook? I got bored and didn't find out the conclusive answer.

Spotted a very mint looking Rover P5B V8 Coupe burbling down the high street, and a very, very well used Austin Princess 3 Litre Vanden Plas.

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
yeah, Parker's has M Sport from sept 2005.
Re: Teh Spotted Thread
I like them, i think they look like a Elise/Evora Hybrid and they are much more practical than an Elise as in i can fit in one
You rarely see them for sale now though but nice low mile cars seem to fetch big money (£20k+)
I'd have one

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
The last one I saw in silver I thought had aged far better than the fussy s2 Elise and the cardboard box vx220.

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
After the saloon and Touring ceased production, the coupe and cab stayed in production and they were renamed MSport, yes - it was a complete switch across BMW’s range to name them MSport not Sport from, I think, the 2006 model year. But the badging didn’t change and people get wonderfully wound up when they are told their car isn’t an MSportRich B wrote: ↑Tue Aug 11, 2020 1:35 pmyeah, Parker's has M Sport from sept 2005.
Re: Teh Spotted Thread
So in conclusion, there in fact were E46 M Sports.
Schools out.

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
The M Sport badge, can probably pinpoint that to the period of time when BMW started to become aspirational to chavs
