Oh, and Atypical. Sitcom about a family with an autistic 18 year old son. Great show, some very funny bits, touching/sad at times.

Friday Night Dinner. 5 series of it on Sky. Features one of the “Inbetweeners” actors. We found it very funny.
Cheers,

Also, caught up on the final "Season" of Fortitude this week.

Really disappointing end but I suppose the writing was on the wall for this one towards the end of season 2. The fact that the last season was only 4 episodes long sums it up really. I think they had run out of ideas / money / support (??) but had to finish it. It was all very rushed.

Shame really because the first season (with Michael Gambon, Stanley Tucci etc.) was brilliant.

Is anyone watching the BBC's adaptation of Les Miserables?

I'm officially allergic to musicals but this is a non-musical dramatisation with Dominic West and Olivia Colman. Let's just say it pulls no punches and lives up to its name.

Oh and the French peasants talk in (generic) Northern British accents :D It sounds wrong but it works.

I had genuinely forgotten Bros ever even existed, but thinking back, the hatred they inspired in my peers and me when they hit the scene was incomparable to anyone before or after. I can only remember their first song, which would have been more accurately "For How Long Will We Be Famous", looking back

You need to find a way to watch it JL.

I don’t think they mentioned the bassist throughout the entire film.

I'm going to need a little more selling on the idea here Mik, despite both you and Ross seeming very fond of it

I’ve watched a bit because Bros were from my home town (they used to babysit a mate of mine - or so he says) and went to the “rival” secondary school. Every time I get to about 2 mins in and can’t do it.

I can’t do cringe tv.

Finished Punisher S2. Not as good as S1, but Bernthal absolutely nails the role of Castle. And the fight scene at the bar in Ep1 is glorious.

Also started watching the animated series Final Space. It's scratching that Futurama itch for me, and Mooncake is awesome. Chookity.

I’m really liking the new Punisher. I thought the first series took a while to get going but this one has been great from the start.

I know all the grumpy dads round here like to shit on the comic based stuff but I’d still recommend the punisher. It’s more like John Wick or those daft Liam Neeson action movies than any other Marvel stuff.

Also been catching up with ST Discovery which has been great and started watching Schitt’s Creek which we’ve been liking for easy after work tv.

I was saying the other day that I’d like more Final Space. Really enjoyed the first season.
An absolute unit

Couple of things. 'The Good Place' is great. Yeah it's on TV at the mo but the first 3 seasons are on Netflix. I'm binge watching them - a really different type of comedy program.

Also watch Dealt on Netflix. About a 'card mechanic' (he doesn't call himself a magician) with one particular human characteristic that makes him unique amongst 'magicians'. Don't spoil it by reading up on him. Just watch the program (it's a documentary).

This level of oddness sounds right up my street. Onto the list it goes.
