Decent Recent TV
Re: Decent Recent TV
Out here now. Watched the first episode of series two earlier.
Re: Decent Recent TV
That's odd; they're normally available to download as soon as they're released. I'll have another look

Re: Decent Recent TV
I started watching LOST again last night. We’re 3 episodes in and it’s even better than I remembered

It's excellent isn't it.Foz wrote: Tue Sep 04, 2018 8:44 am Started watching house of cards, Kevin Spacey is quite, erm, rapey![]()
I read this last week - https://www.politico.eu/article/were-th ... orge-bush/
As I was reading it, in my head I could hear Frank and Doug's voices

The Evo forum really is a shadow of its former self. I remember when the internet was for the elite and now they seem to let any spastic on

Yeah looking forward to the last episode, I tired to watch it last night but there was no decent stream.
An absolute unit

Jack Ryan
3 episodes in and really enjoying it. Jim from the US Office leads with Rachel's dad from Suits as his boss. There's nothing particularly innovative about it, and it's very Homeland, but is just a good solid enjoyable watch.

Re: Decent Recent TV
I really enjoyed Jack Ryan. It looks stunning and is a nice story arc done in one season without leaving things open for a second series with the same characters. A lot of the usual tropes for this sort of thing post 9/11 are rolled out, but that's the age we live in. The characters also behave pretty consistently and don't do ludicrously stupid things in order to move the plot forward.
New guilty please, brains-out entertainment is Lucifer. The writing & humour is very good - its knowing enough without trying to be overly clever or smug and the show clearly knows what it is and sticks to what its good at. 22 or so minutes an episode; good music; good visuals and some stunning women to look at, what's not to like.

Am I the only one here watching Bodyguard on the Beeb? Really good I think. We were looking for something to get into and saw the good reviews of this, so starting watching on iPlayer on Sunday.
Very gripping from the get-go, good pace, good actors, surprising carnage for a Beeb budget. Worth a watch.

Re: Decent Recent TV
Bodyguard is really good. Only minor gripe so far is that last episode where one of the detectives investigating the attack just brushed off evidence that David was gathering around the cctv being tampered with and his flat being searched by someone else. That's the kind of "intelligent character acting dumb to advance the plot" which drives me insane.
But anyway, is Keeley Hawes actually dead? We haven't seen a body yet.
Oh, and the fact one of the government guys is Stuart from Thick of It is massively distracting.

I’ve been watching LOST recently. I watched it the first time round. We’re currently in the mid-teens of Season 1, and I have to say, it’s amazing. Wonderful television
ETA
I’m watching an HD BluRay rip, which means the quality is significantly improved from when I watched it on Terrestrial SD TV the first time round (early seasons)
