I thought that we adequately covered cross-dressing early on in the forums existence and came to the conclusion that it's all perfectly fine and manly.

You've a very jaded view of your home county James and all it does is prove my long standing suspicion that moving to a desert and then skewering a kraut does not necessarily make you a better person.

I fondly remember school discos, most folk were drunk, we wore jeans and Joe Bloggs hoddies - male and female from memory. The more racy ladies wore shorts.

There used to be a May ball at my school which was a black tie event, so not much different to a “Prom.” Some people would get a limo or flash car, but most of us would just go to a pub nearby before and flash our shitty fake IDs.

Yep that’s jogged my memory, we had a final ball at a hired fancy manor just before the last year of school came to an end. Technically it was after the school year as the final year ended a few weeks earlier and the last 2 weeks were just sports activities and theatre so you could smoke cigarettes and drink booze freely. It was pretty interesting as the teachers joined in and I remember our very stern physics professor who was a complete arse for 5 years being a lovely person when drunk and handing out cigarettes.

There were mutterings of the word “Prom” when I finished secondary school, back in 2002. Mostly I think it was referred to as a disco.

I did driving duties last year in my mates Quattroporte (Ferrari V8 with straight pipes and quite obnoxiously loud) which was kind of OK and made me realise that I never wanted to own one! It's all a bit mental but my leaving year back in 1991 were the first year to have a 'Prom' at our school rather than an end of year disco, so it's a bit easier getting on board with it all having been through it myself.
