Had the pleasure of being in the back of a Previa private hire the other day that needed killing with nuclear level fire.

Seat was rocking back and forth in a "not entirely attached" way, the sliding doors didn't willingly slide and whenever the driver braked it felt like he was cadence braking, except he wasn't. What a horribly abused POS vehicle!

Add to that it being filthy and smelly.

‘Shite Taxis’ would make a great name for a northern cab company.

Private hire cars are utter filth compared to usual black cabs in London. Dirty, small, usually bouncing on the bump stops, they tend to have a faint smell of shit and sweat which must emanate from the driver, slower at rush hour and usually more expensive as drivers have no knowledge of shortcuts.

I use private hire way more than black cabs here, they're mostly newish Skodas and Seats so they're fine. Apart from the awfulness that started this thread obviously.

I was in a new black cab the other day. They're a pretty nice place to be.

I hardly ever use black hacks - so much more monies.

I saw a programme on Ch4 the other night about a fake taxi. I fancy a ride in that.
