Working notice
God, this is a pain in the backside. I've got a great new job starting on 21st but I've got two weeks to sort out the handover at the old job.
And I'm mostly dicking about rather than achieving stuff.

Re: Working notice
Mine was worse. It was over a TOTALLY DEAD period that stretched over the long hot summer
An hour each way to sit in a site office and have fuck all to do except watch the clock inch its way around to knocking off time. It was awful.

Re: Working notice
That's no use to anyone. I've taken gardening leave in that situation and it benefits everyone. Any company worth a damn wouldn't want someone who's leaving sitting idly twiddling their thumbs for months with access to all their data / contacts etc.
Re: Working notice
The company wasn't worth a damn and that's why I wanted shot of the cunts
Re: Working notice
When I took voluntary redundancy they made us wait nearly two years before leaving. Was fucking hell.
Re: Working notice
That's true. First time I handed my notice in I was locked in the boardroom, then given no computer access or the use of a phone for 2 weeks after.
The next time I resigned they got a letter and instructions where their company car could be found.
