According to the manufacturer, it's a Mining Truck.

When I did work for Terex, they called trucks "Dump trucks" if they could drive on the road and "Haul Trucks" if they could not - mainly Mining and Construction units. :)

I can tell you that in the UK construction industry you're not likely to hear people use the word 'truck' at all, it would just be a 'dumper' whether front or rear tipping. The only exception is 25t rear tipping dumpers which tend to be referred to as 'Moxys' regardless of brand. :)

Our builders just called them artics when doing the driveway. It really is a whole new language they speak, gennies, wackers etc. A loader, regardless of brand is a JCB, even if it’s a tractor with a back hoe attachment. And then there’s stuff which I thought used to be forum joke speak/grammar such as referring to the wife as “the missus” and incorrectly constructed sentences which just seems to be how they speak. GG would have a field day.

That and Kabaddi, god bless Trans World Sport.

They are mining trucks, as then you don’t have to be a vehicle nerd to know which model it is.

I don’t mind them what I really hate is the places that specialise towards trade. So B&Q or Wickes never sell good timber but there’s an independent lumber yard with sawmill which is about half the price and much better quality. The first time I asked for 2x4 in metric mm they just looked at me like I was a berk and labelled a Londoner  But that’s how wood is listed in normal DIY places isn’t it. Still I’m much better these days.
